99 CONVERSATIONS ABOUT CONTEMPORARY ART
book
2007
66 Conversations about Contemporary Art is a cycle of interviews devoted to art with people who are not professionally involved in the field. Questions asked by Karolina Breguła concerned the reception of particular works of art, their interpretation and assessment. The work was meant as a subversive tool designed for artists to recognise the expectations and doubts of their viewers – people from outside the art world, with whom artists tend to have no contact. 66 Conversations about Contemporary Art marks the beginning of Breguła’s interest in non-professional reception of art as well as problems with understanding contemporary art resulting from its hermetic language.
