Carried out as part of the Living Archives cycle of the Archeology of Photography Foundation, the project Corrective Photographs comprised seven photo-wallpapers in public space from photographs from the archive of Zofia Chomętowska. The photographer portrayed Warsaw with outstanding sensitivity: the city’s development in the 1930s, its destruction during the war and the post-war reconstruction. Presented in different locations in Warsaw, selected photographs by Chomętowska provided a new critical context for today’s capital city, demonstrating its imperfections, correcting them and adding missing elements.
